Actor Swara Bhasker recently opened up about teh 2019 Ram Janmabhoomi verdict by the Supreme Court, recalling feeling "really ashamed" as a Hindu. The actress added that she immediately reached out to Muslim friends including Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan to "apologise."

Speaking about the verdict on The Midnight Hour podcast, Swara revealed she messaged "all the Muslims" in her phone book after the verdict. She said, "I was so upset when the verdict came out, because I felt that it was very unfair. And I messaged all the Muslims in my phonebook. From Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan to Fahad Ahmad."
