Sonal Chauhan has revisited one of Bollywood’s most remembered romantic moments, revealing that Emraan Hashmi was not entirely convinced about the now-iconic proposal scene in the Jannat movie. The 2008 romantic crime drama continues to enjoy a loyal following, but Chauhan’s latest recollection suggests that one of its most celebrated sequences almost felt like too much while filming it.

During a conversation with Shubhankar Mishra, the actor recalled Emraan Hashmi’s reaction to the scene. “Emraan was not fully convinced for the iconic proposal scene. At that time, he said, 'This is getting a bit too much!'" But, thank God we did it! It became a cult,” she said.
