In a recent conversation, she opened up about the existence of the casting couch and misconceptions around pay parity, while crediting the rise of social media for making things better for women in the industry.

During a recent conversation with Hauterrfly, Shreya Ghoshal admitted that the casting couch exists in the industry, irrespective of her personal experience. “It's a slightly better time now. Before social media, women in the industry had a tough time. I started quite early, so my parents always accompanied me to places. So, if anybody wanted to say anything, they didn't dare.”
