After Ramayana's grand showcase at San Diego Comic-Con 2026, Yash interacted with the media and opened up about playing Ravana in the ambitious epic. The actor also praised co-star Ranbir Kapoor's portrayal of Lord Rama, calling him a fabulous actor, while sharing why the role was one of the most challenging of his career.

Yash on the challenges of portraying Ravana

Speaking about the most challenging aspect of portraying Ravana, Yash said, "The biggest challenge was that Ramayana is a story everyone knows and one that has been told in countless ways. From small villages to television and films in different regional languages, so many actors have portrayed these characters. To present Ravana in a way that feels authentic, while also bringing something unique to the role, was the biggest challenge."
