Rajpal Yadav’s ancestral properties to be auctioned over Rs 16.61 crore loan

The Central Bank of India has issued an attachment notice on Rajpal Yadav’s ancestral properties in Uttar Pradesh over an unpaid Rs 16.61 crore loan. The bank may auction the mortgaged properties on September 9 if the dues remain unpaid

Rajpal Yadav has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons for quite some time. He has been embroiled in a legal battle over a cheque bounce case. As per the recent update, the court upheld his conviction and sentenced him to three months' imprisonment. Amid this, he has been served another notice by the Central Bank of India over a loan of more than Rs 16 crore. His ancestral properties will be mortgaged.

Central Bank of India to mortgage Rajpal Yadav’s properties

As per a report by NDTV, the Central Bank of India issued an attachment notice on Rajpal Yadav’s ancestral property in Uttar Pradesh over an unpaid loan of Rs 16.61 crore. The bank has warned that if the outstanding dues are not cleared within the stipulated period, the mortgaged properties will be auctioned online on September 9. However, the combined estimated value of the two properties is around Rs 3.19 crore. The report further states that Rajpal had taken the loan to produce his film Aata Pata Lapata. Following the alleged non-repayment, the bank has taken possession of the mortgaged properties and initiated the auction process.
