Strange as it may sound, Pooja Meri Jaan came to Navjot Gulati when the director and his friends lost their way on a road trip to Goa, and ended up on a deserted stretch. “When we finally reached Goa, I called up my friend Amar Kaushik, who is also the film’s producer, and narrated the idea. I had pitched many ideas and every time he’d say, ‘Mazaa nahin aaya’. But this time, he said, ‘Write this. We’ll make it,’” Gulati told mid-day.
