I felt like I was home from the very first day,” says Nimrrit Kaur Ahluwalia about her newly released series Ab Hoga Hisaab, which was shot in Punjab. Being Punjabi herself, she says her connection with “the setting, the people, the language, and the emotions of the character” was instant. The other highlight of working on the Amazon MX Player series was sharing screen space with Sanjay Kapoor.

Beyond his years of experience, what stood out most to Ahluwalia was Kapoor’s approachable nature. “He comes from a family that has a long association with cinema, and for someone like me, it felt special to be able to work alongside him. What I genuinely appreciated about Sanjay sir was how welcoming he was with all of us. There was never a sense of hierarchy on set. He was generous with his time, whether it was discussing scenes, sharing experiences, or spending time with the cast between takes. We never felt intimidated or hesitant around him,” she explains. Ahluwalia adds that besides acting, she also learnt “how to carry yourself on a set and make others feel included” from him.
