Twisted thrillers, dark dramas, and action spectacles are the audience’s favoured genres today. Even as she enjoys them, Kritika Kamra misses watching feel-good family entertainers on the big screen. One of her biggest reasons to headline director Anusha Rizvi’s yet-untitled next was to return to the simplicity of slice-of-life films.

“Somewhere along the way, we stopped making the kind of films that families could sit together and watch. My next film with Anusha is exactly that — a heartwarming story about people we all know, and relationships we’ve all lived through. It’s light-hearted, and carries subtle messages about love, change, and acceptance,” said the actor, who shot the film in Delhi earlier this year.
