Double dose of nostalgia?

Could ‘King’ bring not one, but two nostalgic reunions? We have learnt that Rani Mukerji and Abhishek Bachchan may reunite on screen in Siddharth Anand’s Shah Rukh Khan-led action thriller, almost two decades after ‘Laaga Chunari Mein Daag’ (2007). Interestingly, mid-day also learnt that the actors could be paired opposite each other this time around. Rani is already set to reunite with SRK after 20 years, following ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’ (2006). With Abhishek reportedly playing the antagonist, could ‘King’ offer a fresh twist to their familiar pairing? With Deepika Padukone, Suhana Khan, Anil Kapoor, and Jackie Shroff also part of the ensemble, the film certainly has intrigue in abundance.
