Punjabi singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh has added another feather to his cap, with the Los Angeles City Council officially declaring January 6, 2027 as ‘Diljit Dosanjh Day’. The honour recognises his contribution to taking Punjabi music to a global audience.. Diljit, currently on his Aura Tour, has broken several international barriers, including becoming one of the first Punjabi artistes to perform at major global venues. The recognition celebrates his “talent, dedication, and global appeal” in promoting Punjabi culture worldwide.
On stage, and in cinemas
Diljit Dosanjh is also being seen on the big screen in as he stars in Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Main Vaapas Aaunga’, along with Naseeruddin Shah.
