Last month, on his 79th birthday, he ended his contract and had returned the money he received. Big B’s move followed the backlash for endorsing a product harmful to health. The veteran superstar wasn’t aware that it “falls under surrogate advertising”. In September, the National Organisation for Tobacco Eradication appealed to Bachchan to not promote paan masala.
