Meghna Gulzar is back with a crime drama that seems determined to keep audiences guessing. The trailer of Daayra, starring Kareena Kapoor and Prithviraj Sukumaran, dropped on Monday, offering a glimpse into a case where truth, duty and justice refuse to fit neatly into separate boxes. The film is slated to hit theatres on September 18.

Inspired by true events, Daayra begins in the aftermath of a crime that triggers public outrage and sets two investigations into motion. At the centre are two senior police officers, played by Kareena and Prithviraj, who approach the same case from very different perspectives.
