Amaal Mallik lashed out at Salman Khan Films over an anniversary post for the 2015 film Hero, pointing out that the composer and lyricist were not credited for the song featured in the post. Mentioning in the comment section of the official Salman Khan Films account, Amaal called out the production team and questioned their decision to omit the creators of the song while celebrating 11 years of the film.

Calling the move an act of "audacity," Amaal wrote, "Whoever is handling the page or the social media of @skfilmsofficial, I love the audacity you have shown by leaving out the composer & the lyricist of the song lol! It doesn't look nice that a song that is created with the pain, blood, sweat and tears of a music composer & his lyricist is celebrated without the creators being respected or even mentioned."
