Almost every musician will tell you how they feel restricted by algorithms. With his latest single, My Location, singer and songwriter Axe Shay has examined the feeling of being psychologically and creatively “pinned down” by algorithmic control.   

“After releasing five or six singles, I started noticing how much music releases today seem tied to algorithms, trends, and social media strategies. But music should never be forced or shaped that way,” the singer told mid-day.
