On July 28, mid-day reported that Salman Khan’s foundation Being Human tied up with his fan clubs in Assam to distribute food among the affected as the state battled its worst flood in six decades (Stars and fans unite for Assam, July 28). Now, the actor and his team have begun the second phase of relief measures. Khan has joined forces with the non-profit organisation, Global Sikhs, to rehabilitate the displaced. So far, they have built 220 semi-permanent houses in Nepali Khuti, which has been the worst hit village.
