The 60-year-old singer has been suffering from sensorineural hearing loss since 2024. She arrived at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Tuesday, June 23, to receive the Padma Bhushan from President Droupadi Murmu. The next day, Alka took to Instagram to address her health challenges, saying she had largely stayed away from the spotlight over the past two years and had avoided public appearances, but decided to attend the event as she is slowly "finding her way back".
