Veteran playback singer Alka Yagnik has shared an emotional reflection on her health struggles and recovery journey after being honoured with the Padma Bhushan, one of India’s highest civilian awards. The celebrated singer, whose voice has defined generations of Hindi film music, described the recognition as a deeply humbling moment during a challenging phase of her life.

Alka, who revealed last year that she had been diagnosed with a rare hearing disorder, spoke about the difficulties she has faced while adjusting to life away from the stage and recording studio.
