Comedian Kapil Sharma has come out in support of Daler Mehndi after a video of Uttarakhand minister Subodh Uniyal confronting the veteran singer on stage went viral. The minister alleged that Daler appeared disoriented and was not performing properly, accusing the singer of being 'drunk' while singing. Kapil, however, urged people not to judge the singer without knowing what he had been going through. The comedian pointed to Mehndi’s recent health problems and appealed for compassion as the controversy gained attention online.

What did Kapil Sharma say?

Kapil shared a video posted by singer Mika Singh, Daler Mehndi’s younger brother, and added a message defending the veteran performer. “@thedalermehndiofficial paji went through some serious surgery which people don’t know. All we need is to be a little kinder towards each other. We don’t know what someone is going through,” Kapil wrote. He also thanked Mika for clarifying the situation and wished Daler a speedy recovery. Kapil later criticised people spreading what he described as false information for online views.
