The political sparring between Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and actor-turned-politician Vijay and the DMK has intensified, with the party’s official mouthpiece, Murasoli, taking a fresh swipe at him over actor Trisha Krishnan’s presence during the Independence Day celebrations in Chennai.

DMK targets Tamil Nadu CM Vijay

Trisha was seated alongside Vijay’s parents in the front row at Fort St George on August 15, where Vijay hoisted the national flag as part of the celebrations. A video from the event also showed Trisha saluting Vijay as he passed by in a jeep. Her mother, Uma Krishnan, accompanied her to the ceremony.
