Stock market advances for fourth consecutive day; Nifty surges 1.60 per cent

The 30-share BSE Sensex surged 544.39 points, or 0.70 per cent, to settle at 78,639.03. The 50-share NSE Nifty gained 390.70 points, or 1.60 per cent, to end at 24,774.30

Domestic benchmark equity indices rallied on Monday, extending their gains for the fourth consecutive day amid a sharp decline in crude oil prices following US President Donald Trump's announcement to pause military attacks on Iran
