Titan Company Ltd on Friday reported a 40.3 per cent growth in revenue for the June quarter of FY27 to Rs 20,787 crore, driven by strong performance in the jewellery business.
Titan posted a 62.87 per cent rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 1,777 crore in Q1 FY27, compared to Rs 1,091 crore in the year-ago period, according to a regulatory filing.
This is the third successive quarter in which the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/tata-groups-air-india-ceo-campbell-wilson-steps-down-23624528" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Tata Group-managed firm</a> has reported over 40 per cent revenue growth.
In the March quarter of FY26, the leading branded jewellery and watch maker had reported 48.28 per cent growth in sales to Rs 20,607 crore. The flagship Jewellery business revenue increased 88.6 per cent during the quarter.
Similarly, its sales in the December quarter of FY26 were up 42 per cent to Rs 24,915 crore, with jewellery business revenue rising 45.6 per cent.
The company's flagship Jewellery business, which contributed around 91 per cent of the sales, was up 29.73 per cent to 19,002 crore in Q1 FY27, compared to Rs 14,647 crore in the corresponding quarter of the preceding fiscal.
​The growth in the Jewellery segment was powered by festive and Akshaya Tritiya sales and <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/business/business-news/article/gold-price-updates-prices-in-mumbai-surges-by-rs-1-707-amid-global-turmoil-23620154" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">higher gold prices</a>.
This revenue growth was "powered by healthy festive and Akshaya Tritiya demand and the enduring strength of Titan's exchange programmes, underscoring resilient consumer confidence amid a stable gold price environment", the company said in its earnings statement. ​
Titan, the joint venture (JV) between Tata Group and the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/news/india-news/article/tamil-nadu-cm-vijay-says-he-proposed-karnataka-talks-over-cauvery-issue-23643624" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Tamil Nadu</a> Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO), owns brands such as Tanishq, Mia and Caratlane in the Jewellery segment.
During the quarter under review, "all the portfolio brands grew well", the company said. According to the earnings statement, a "sizeable increase in average ticket sizes" powered strong mid-thirties growth in the key product categories of plain and studded jewellery.
The combined business of its jewellery brands - Tanishq, Mia and Zoya grew 38 per cent to Rs 15,502 crore. While Caratlane, its omnichannel digital-first brand focused on lightweight, trendy and budget-friendly jewellery, also recorded 40 per cent growth to reach Rs 1,441 crore in revenue.
Besides, the jewellery division's International business grew two-fold to Rs 1,309 crore.
Similarly, Damas Jewellery, a UAE-based jewellery retailer in which Titan acquired a majority stake in July last year, clocked revenue of Rs 396 crore, it said.
Besides, the Jewellery division continued to expand its retail presence by adding 33 stores in India during the quarter under review.
Titan's revenue from Watches &amp; Wearables business was also up 21.2 per cent at Rs 1,543 crore in Q1 FY27. The analogue watches segment registered mid-twenties growth, while the smartwatches category declined to single digits during the period. ​
The Eyecare segment's revenue was up 21.42 per cent at Rs 289 crore.
This "business accelerated its growth momentum through calibrated marketing investments that drove multi-pair and multi-category consumer propositions, alongside continued premiumisation across the product portfolio," said Titan.
Its revenue from the ''Others'' segment, which includes SKINN Fragrances, IRTH Women's Bags and ethnic wear brand Taneira, saw varying growth trajectories across individual businesses. Revenue of this segment was up 36.4 per cent to Rs 566 crore.
"Fragrances maintained its strong volume momentum across both the Skinn and Fastrack perfume lines, IRTH Women's Bags witnessed robust volume growth and continued to gain in brand salience, whereas Taneira's revenue was flattish for the quarter," it said.
Titan's total consolidated income increased 29.3 per cent to Rs 21,502 crore in the quarter under review.
Commenting on the results. Titan Company Managing Director Ajoy Chawla said, "The broad-based performance notwithstanding, the quarter demanded significant agility on multiple fronts from navigating gold prices to the sharp changes in the duty structure and to managing geopolitical headwinds across our international operations. We continue to remain focused on brand investment, customer engagement, and disciplined execution that has defined Titan's growth journey."
Shares of Titan Company Ltd on Friday settled at Rs 4,943 apiece, down 0.82 per cent, on the BSE.
