Sachin Bansal's financial services firm Navi on Wednesday said it has raised USD 100 million from Dutch firm Prosus, marking its first institutional capital raise.
The proposed investment is subject to customary closing conditions and applicable regulatory approvals, including approval from the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/business/business-news/article/cci-rejects-complaint-against-reliance-jio-allegations-of-anticompetitive-conduct-unsubtantiated-23640253" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Competition Commission of India (CCI)</a>, the company said in a statement.
"Prosus is one of the world's most respected investors, with an exceptional track record of backing category-defining technology companies over the long term. My association with Naspers and the Prosus Group dates back more than a decade, making this partnership particularly meaningful," Sachin Bansal, Founder and Executive Chairman, Navi Group said.&nbsp;
Their investment is a strong endorsement of the institution we're building at Navi. Beyond the capital, we value Prosus's global perspective, long-term orientation and experience in scaling technology businesses, and look forward to partnering with them as we continue our growth journey," he added.
<h2>Navi's growth performance</h2>
Navi is a digital-first financial services company offers financial services, directly and through partners, including loans, insurance, mutual funds, and UPI payments.
The company enters next phase of growth with strong operating momentum across its businesses, the statement said.
During FY26, Navi UPI strengthened its position as one of India's fastest-growing payments platforms and the country's fourth-largest <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/news/india-news/article/upi-records-22-35-billion-transactions-in-april-sustains-strong-digital-payments-surge--23628819" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Unified Payments Interface (UPI)</a> app.
Its assets under management crossed Rs 130 billion, and with improving economics and increasing operating leverage, the group achieved consolidated profitability in Q4FY26.
