Banks in Mumbai will remain closed on Friday, October 2, in observance of Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti. Similarly, the banks across the country will remain shut as the national holiday is part of the the Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) holiday calendar for October. So, all public sector, private sector, foreign, and co-operative bank branches will remain closed for operations across the country.

Online banking to remain open

The essential banking services will remain open for customers through digital banking facilities, even during holidays. While the physical branches will remain closed for operations, customers can use net banking or mobile banking platforms for transaction purposes.
