Yemen is witnessing renewed violence as reports emerge of a deadly airstrike on a plastic footwear factory in Al-Taiziyah district, north of Taiz. Houthi-affiliated media has blamed Saudi forces for the attack, reporting that three people were killed and eight others injured. The casualty figures are described as an initial toll. The alleged factory strike comes amid a fresh escalation in fighting across Taiz. Yemen's internationally recognised government says its aircraft carried out two airstrikes targeting Houthi positions and military vehicles in Jabal Habashi district, west of the city. Government officials claim Houthi fighters were killed in the operation.
