DRONE INTERCEPTED OVER MAKKAH! SAUDI ARABIA BLAMES HOUTHIS, BUT YEMENI GROUP DENIES LAUNCHING THE AIRCRAFT. Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Defence and the Saudi-led coalition have reported the interception and destruction of a drone in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region. Coalition spokesperson Major General Turki Al-Maliki said the unmanned aerial vehicle was launched by the Houthi movement. However, Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree rejected the accusation, declaring that the group had not conducted any operation targeting Saudi territory on Friday. The conflicting statements come amid escalating regional tensions and continued exchanges involving missiles, drones and reported attacks on military and infrastructure targets. Who launched the drone? Why are the two sides giving completely different accounts?
