A deadly private jet crash rocks Palm Beach County, Florida, after a Bahamas-bound Learjet 60 plunges from the sky and erupts into a massive fireball. All nine people aboard are killed, according to officials. The aircraft had departed Austin, Texas, and was heading to North Eleuthera in the Bahamas. In its final minutes, the crew reportedly alerts air traffic control about ice accumulation, precipitation and severe turbulence before requesting a higher altitude. Flight-tracking data indicates the jet climbed to approximately 41,000 feet before entering a terrifying descent. Air traffic control recordings capture distress calls as the aircraft loses altitude at an alarming rate.
