A powerful magnitude 7.7 earthquake strikes Indonesia's Flores region, causing buildings to collapse, triggering panic and prompting a tsunami warning that was later lifted. The shallow offshore quake is followed by multiple aftershocks, with tsunami waves of less than one metre recorded in some areas. Rescue teams continue assessing damage and casualties across affected parts of Flores.
