The World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit 2025 (WAVES 2025) commenced in Mumbai today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a packed audience comprising artists, innovators, and global content creators at the summit. Speaking at the inauguration, Mr Modi emphasised India’s ambition to become a creative superpower and described WAVES as a global platform that “belongs to every artist and creator.” Hailing India’s creative vision, he stated that it is time for India’s Orange Economy to shine on the global stage.
