Tamil Nadu politics has erupted after intelligence officials claimed they foiled an alleged conspiracy to destabilise Vijay's TVK government, less than two months after it took office. According to sources, the alleged plan involved engineering the resignation of 15 TVK MLAs to bring down the government. The investigation began after TVK MLA N. Elaiyaraja alleged he was offered ₹35 crore to support a no-confidence motion against the Assembly Speaker. Police have arrested three people, including an employee of a consultancy firm, while investigators are examining alleged links to DMK MLA Senthil Balaji, according to sources.
