Day 1 of the Monsoon Session of Parliament began with repeated disruptions as both Houses faced adjournments amid protests by the Opposition. The Opposition demanded discussions on the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak and police action against protesters gathered at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. Rajya Sabha Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge raised both issues in the Upper House, while proceedings came to a standstill.
