India has this year experienced seven per cent more rainfall than usual since the monsoon began on June 1, but the seasonal showers have been unevenly spread across states, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) data, reported the PTI.

Rajasthan received 384.7 mm of rain against a normal 200.4 mm, marking a surplus of 92 per cent.
