DGCA probes ground collision between SpiceJet and Akasa Air aircraft at Delhi airport

A SpiceJet Boeing 737-700 aircraft (VT-SLB), operating flight SG-124 from Leh to Delhi, was taxiing to parking bay No. 106 after arrival when its winglet reportedly came into contact with the horizontal tail surface (HTS) of an Akasa Air Boeing 737 aircraft positioned on the apron

An Akasa Air aircraft and a SpiceJet plane sustained damage after coming into contact at Delhi airport on Thursday afternoon, officials said, adding that the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has launched an investigation into the incident.

Both Boeing 737 aircraft have been grounded following the mishap.
