‘State govt committed to achieving cancer-free Maharashtra,’ says Health Minister Prakash Abitkar

Maharashtra Health Minister Prakash Abitkar sought details on modern cancer treatment methods at Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai on Wednesday.

Maharashtra Health Minister Prakash Abitkar on Wednesday said that the state government, in collaboration with the public health department and Tata Memorial Hospital, is committed to achieving the goal of a “cancer-free Maharashtra”.

The minister visited Tata Memorial Hospital in Parel, Mumbai, where he reviewed various departments and sought details on modern cancer treatment methods. Tata Memorial Centre’s All-India Director Dr Sudeep Gupta, Hospital Director Dr CS Pramesh, Deputy Directors Shrikande and Siddhnath Laskar, and Hospital Superintendent Dr Vineet Samant were present for the event.
