CM Fadnavis reviews dam discharges amid heavy rains in Maharashtra

According to official data released at 9:00 AM, several key dams are currently discharging large volumes of water due to rising inflow. The Jayakwadi Dam, which received around 150 mm of rainfall in its catchment area, is releasing 1,25,000 cusecs of water into the Godavari River

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday morning conducted a high-level review of the dam discharge situation across the state, following continuous heavy rainfall over the past few days. In discussions with the Water Resources Department, the Chief Minister instructed officials to maintain coordination with local administrations and stay on high alert to ensure a timely response and public safety.
