Mira-Bhayandar Crime Branch busts Rs 13 crore MD drug network; 13 held

According to the police, if the seized chemicals had been processed, nearly 50 kg of MD drugs could have been manufactured, valued around Rs 100 crore

In one of the biggest crackdowns on synthetic drugs, the Mira-Bhayandar Crime Branch Unit-4 has busted an alleged MD drug manufacturing and supply syndicate, arresting 13 accused in total.
Crime Branch officials, under the guidance of Police Commissioner Niket Kaushik, DCP Sandeep Doiphod, and Crime Branch Unit-4 in-charge Police Inspector Pramod Badakh, conducted raids at two locations in Malad’s Malvani area and one location in Manori-Gorai, seizing chemicals, machinery, and other equipments, with an estimated value to be around Rs 13.65 crore.
