At least six people, including five children, were killed and one person injured after two to three kutcha houses in a three-storey chawl collapsed in Mumbai's Mankhurd area on Sunday night, civic officials said.

The incident took place at around 8:30 pm in Chawl No 5, Janata Nagar, near the Hanuman Temple, where portions of the ground-plus-three-storey kutcha structure suddenly gave way, trapping several residents beneath the debris.
